01

About these terms.

These terms apply to your use of riviot.com, which is run by Riviot. Riviot has offices in New York, US and Manchester, UK. "We", "us" and "our" mean Riviot.

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

02

Who the site is for.

The site is for businesses that hire network and data center engineers or need a deployment run, and for engineers looking for work. You must be 18 or over to send us a request or an application.

If you use the site on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.

03

Our services are under separate agreements.

The site describes what Riviot does. It does not form a contract to supply engineers, run a project or offer anyone work.

  • A request for talent or a project inquiry starts a conversation. Work begins only under a signed agreement with Riviot.
  • An application starts our assessment. Admission to the network, and any role we offer, is at our discretion and does not guarantee work.
  • Vio and the client platform have their own terms, which you accept when you use them.

04

The information on the site.

We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it is general information about our services and the market. It is not professional, legal or financial advice.

Rates, costs, timelines and scores on the site, including the results of our tools and calculators, are estimates for planning and examples of how our work is presented. They are not quotes or offers. A quote for your project comes from us in writing.

Scorecards, briefs and case studies on the site are examples of how our work is presented. Where they describe an engineer or a client, details may be changed or masked to protect their privacy.

05

What you send us.

When you send us a request, a message or an application, you confirm that what you tell us is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Do not send us anything confidential about another business unless you are allowed to.

Engineers must declare certifications and experience honestly. We check what we can before we admit anyone to the network, and we may remove anyone who misleads us.

Our privacy policy explains how we use the personal data you send.

06

Using the site fairly.

You must not:

  • use the site for anything unlawful, or to send spam or harmful material;
  • try to get unauthorized access to the site, our systems or other people's data;
  • interfere with the site's security or performance, including by overloading it;
  • copy or collect content or data from the site by automated means, except as search engines normally do;
  • pretend to be someone else or misrepresent who you work for.

07

Our content and brand.

The site's content, design and code, the Riviot name and logo, the scorecard and our drawings belong to Riviot or the people who license them to us. You may view the site and share links to it. You may not copy, change or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Where we publish brand files for press and partners, you may use them as their guidelines describe. Using them does not mean we endorse you.

08

Links to other sites.

The site links to other websites, such as regulators and certification bodies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

09

Availability and changes.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, though we work to fix problems quickly.

10

Our liability.

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties about it, and we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its content, including lost profits, lost business or lost data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Our liability for the services we provide is set out in the agreement for those services.

11

Governing law and disputes.

The law that governs these terms, and the courts that can settle a dispute about them, depend on which Riviot company runs the site and where you are. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live.

If you have a concern, please contact us first. Most problems can be settled by talking.

12

Changes to these terms.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

13

Contact us.

For any question about these terms, write to us through our contact page.
